Can I add image files to materials via the API?
We cannot upload images through the ItemPath API to Power Pick because Power Pick is unable to handle images in a standard format.
Power Pick material images are referred to as Supplements and are stored in Power Pick either by encoding them in a binary format and storing them in the database directly, or by linking to a file saved on the local machine that's running Power Pick.
NOTE: The binary image method is not recommended, because this adds a large amount of data to the Power Pick database, causing space and slowness issues.
Power Pick can use links to a file, but the files need to be stored in a folder that is locally accessible to the Power Pick server, as this link is a Windows or network path, not a URL.
