What calculations can a report perform?
In a report built with ItemPath, the section that performs calculations is called "Snapshots." Snapshots are used to measure the performance of a report's data over time, and to display KPIs on your custom dashboard.
Snapshots can perform calculations on any numeric field in the report's data. The following calculations are available:
- Count
- Sum
- Average
- Maximum
- Minimum
The "Count" calculation counts the number of rows in the report. This count can be grouped by any field in the report's data. For example, a report of "Orders" could be grouped by "Direction Type" to count the number of picks, puts, counts, etc. This could even be grouped further by a secondary field, such as "Priority" to divide each order type into level 1, 2, 3, and 4 priority orders.
The rest of of the calculations need to be applied to a column containing numeric fields.
At this time, a snapshot cannot perform successive calculations, such as the average of a sum over time.
