How do we prepare for a Production system upgrade?

Do we need to stop any PowerPick services?
No, unless there is also a PowerPick version upgrade at the same time.

Does picking/putting need to be paused? Will VLMs still run?
Kardex machines will continue to run, but any integration sending orders/transactions will be paused. We suggest not running the machines during an ItemPath upgrade just to keep integrations in sync.

Will any transactions or API calls get missed?
API calls will not function during an upgrade. Transactions/history records will still generate from PowerPick, and will be picked up by integrations once ItemPath restarts.

When will my upgrade happen?
The availability to schedule your production upgrade will depend on your Service Level Agreement.

  • Support Level 1: Upgrades can be scheduled between extended support hours, 9am-10pm EST. Weekends are available if added to support agreement.
  • Support Level 2: Upgrades can be scheduled between support hours, 9am-10pm EST. Weekends are available if added to support agreement.
  • Support Level 3: With 24/7 support, you can schedule your upgrade at any time.
