What does my API error message mean?
When using the ItemPath API, you will inevitably encounter an error message. We try to make these as clear as possible, but sometimes they can be confusing.
If the message doesn't give you enough information to understand what the error means and how to resolve it, make a note of the code number and error message. Then, compare the error to this list of HTTP Status Codes in our documentation.
Common errors will be in the 400 series, which typically mean something is missing, typed wrong, or not allowed because of permissions or duplication.
An error in the 500s may mean something was changed in the connection with PowerPick or an ERP. If the error cannot be resolved, please reach out to support@itempath.com so we can diagnose the issue.
