Add Custom Statuses for Order Builder
ItemPath uses standard Power Pick statuses to track the lifecycle of an order. You can create Custom Statuses to add more granular tracking - such as "Awaiting Manager Approval" or "Quality Hold" - tailored to your specific warehouse workflows.
Custom statuses are unique to the integration where they are created. For example, a status created for a "Manual Production Order" integration will not appear as an option for a "Cycle Count" integration. This keeps your dropdown menus clean and relevant to the specific task at hand.
Standard Statuses
Before creating custom statuses, it's helpful to understand the existing statuses that ItemPath uses when communicating with Power Pick:
- Ready to be sent to Power Pick
- Sent to Power Pick
- Ready for Allocation
- Is Allocated
- In Process
- Error
- Deleted
Add a Custom Status
Custom statuses are managed within the settings of each individual Order Builder integration
- Navigate to Order Builder and select the Integration you want to customize.
- Scroll ot the borrom of the integration settings to find the section "Order Builder - Custom Statuses".
- Give your new status a name (e.g. Pending Approval) and a description, then click Add Status.

You can repeat these steps to add multiple statuses if needed. Once you've added one or more custom statuses, they'll appear in the status dropdown menu when managing orders for this integration.

Using Custom Statuses in Workflows
The primary benefit of a custom status is using it as a "gate" in your automation. For example, you can configure an Automatic Integration to create orders with a custom status of "Pending Approval" and then send an email to the relevant manager letting them know an order is awaiting approval.
