Order Processor Overview

The Order Processor app provides a way to process Power Pick orders using an ItemPath interface.

This can be useful for a range of scenarios: You may want to trigger certain kinds of automation, or would prefer to enter additional details through a mobile interface. Alternately, you may want a more practical interface for confirming many serial numbers of materials stored in your VLM.

Depending on your needs, the Order Processor application can be set up to support both manually processing orders, as well as certain kinds of serial number processing.

Manually process an order

To manually process an order:

  1. Select Manual Processing.
  2. Select the type of order you'd like to process.
  3. Select one or more orders to process. You can use the search bar to find the orders you'd like to process, which will search on any of the fields in the table.
  4. Update fields as needed.
  5. Materials involved with the order (as order lines), appear in the section beneath the Order's main fields. You can adjust:
    1. The quantity picked, put, or counted as part of the order.
    2. The associated Material Property, Bin, or Max Stock Per Bin.
  6. Optionally, you can Skip the order line.
  7. If you have completed the order line, Confirm.
  8. If you have selected more than one order, you can proceed to the next order.
  9. When you complete all orders, select Finish Processing.
The order processor interface, with fields for inputting basic order properties: Issue To, Qualification, Facility, Notes, Material Property, Bin, and Max Stock Per Bin. Buttons allow the user to cancel, skip or confirm.

Serial number processing

In some cases, processing batches of orders can be time consuming and error prone when users are required to manually record the serial number associated with the specific item they've picked or put (required by the material property of the serialized part).

This mode allows you to select a serial number for a material when fulfilling an order:

The serial selection view, where a serial number has been selected (indicated by a check mark). Unlike in manual processing, the user is unable to specify fields about the line item. They can skip or confirm.

The process is otherwise similar to the manual processing workflow: you can Skip or Confirm individual lines before you finish processing.
