Managing Material Holds
Putting materials on hold in Power Pick is valuable for managing inventory quality and safety. You can update the hold status of Materials in Power Pick through two primary methods: a Data Pull integration or a direct API connection.
To put items on hold, you'll need to update these fields on either the Material table, or the Location Content Breakdown table:
| Field Name | Value Type | Description |
| Is Blocked | Integer | Set to 1 to activate the hold; 0 to release it. |
| Block Reason | String (Text) | Enter the reason for the hold for visibility in Power Pick. |
Creating a Hold at the Material Level
If you need to block a material across the entire system, you can update the Material record. This ensures that no matter where the material is located, it cannot be picked.
Creating a Hold at the Location Level
If you only need to block a material in a specific location, you can update that Material via the Location Content Breakdown.
For comprehensive instructions on creating holds directly within Power Pick, refer to this helpful article.
