Power Pick Integration Requirements for ItemPath
In order to set up Power Pick for integration with ItemPath, there are specific licensing and interface configurations required. These are some common questions regarding the setup process.
Is the Kardex REST interface required?
No. In order to set up Power Pick for integration with ItemPath, you do not need to enable the Kardex REST interface. Instead, ItemPath connects to Power Pick through a combination of direct database connection and the CEU (Cross Enterprise Unit) Web Services.
Is one Web Services license enough?
Yes. One CEU Web Services Interface module license is sufficient for creating orders in ItemPath using the Order Builder application as well as for API use.
High-Level Requirements
To successfully integrate Power Pick with ItemPath, ensure the following requirements are met:
- Database Access: ItemPath Requires a database user with permission to read and modify the data in the Power Pick SQL database. Specifically, the user must be able to perform the following SQL functions:
- Read data from tables (
SELECT) - Insert new records (
INSERT) - Update existing records (
UPDATE) - Delete records (
DELETE)
- Read data from tables (
- CEU Web Services: If you'll be using ItemPath to create, allocate, or process orders, the Power Pick CEU Web Services module (License item GP.54) must be installed and active.
- Network Connectivity: The ItemPath gateway must have network access to both the SQL Server port (typically 1433) and the CEU service port on the Power Pick server.
